WestJet announced this Thursday the signing of a new interline agreement with Copa Airlines, which will allow passengers of the Canadian airline to connect seamlessly to 37 destinations in Central and South America via Panama City.
Additionally, travelers flying northbound with Copa will gain access to WestJet’s extensive network across North America.
John Weatherill, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at WestJet, emphasized: “With the introduction of our new non-stop service from Calgary to Panama City, this interline partnership will expand access to key Central and South American destinations for Canadian travelers. We remain focused on connecting our guests to the most popular sun and leisure destinations this winter, while also serving business travelers flying to major South American markets.”
A New Link Between Calgary and Panama City
The Canadian airline will launch its new route between Calgary and Panama City starting December 13, 2025, with four weekly flights during the winter season. This connection links WestJet’s global hub in Calgary with Copa Airlines’ operational center in Panama, opening new opportunities for both leisure and corporate passengers.
