GOL to Offer Over 65,000 Flights and 12 Million Seats for the Austral Summer High Season

Brazilian airline GOL Linhas Aéreas has unveiled its operational plan for the high season next summer, which will run from December 2025 to February 2026. During this period, it will offer 65,000 flights and nearly 12 million seats, representing a 15% increase compared to the previous summer. With this expansion, the company will reach its highest capacity in history: 14 billion available seat kilometers (ASK).

Boost in the Domestic Market

For the domestic market, the airline will make available 60,000 flights and 11 million seats, a 13% expansion compared to the summer of 2024/2025. All regions of the country will see an increase in operations.

Northeast: More Flights and Return to Noronha

The Northeast region, with over 21,000 operations and 4 million seats, will grow by 10%. Key highlights include the resumed flights to Fernando de Noronha (FEN), with direct departures from São Paulo/Guarulhos (GRU) and Recife (REC).

  • Aracaju (AJU) will have increased frequencies to Rio (GIG), São Paulo (CGH and GRU), and Salvador (SSA).
  • Porto Seguro (BPS) will feature connections from Brasília (BSB) and Rio/Santos Dumont (SDU).
  • Salvador (SSA) will expand its network to Natal (NAT), Fortaleza (FOR), Belo Horizonte/Confins (CNF), Vitória (VIX), Porto Alegre (POA), Curitiba (CWB), Campinas/Viracopos (VCP), Recife, and São Paulo (GRU and CGH).

Central-West: New Routes and Increased Capacity

The Central-West will see an 18% increase in supply, with up to 15,000 flights and 2.7 million seats. Highlights include:

  • New regular flights from Cuiabá (CGB) to Porto Velho (PVH).
  • Increased number of operations from Cuiabá to Rio, São Paulo, and Brasília.
  • Boosted services from Brasília (BSB) to Vitória (VIX), Florianópolis (FLN), João Pessoa (JPA), Maceió (MCZ), and Fortaleza (FOR).
  • Increased departures from Goiânia (GYN) to Rio, São Paulo, and Salvador.

South: New Strategic Routes

Southern Brazil will have 16,000 flights and 3 million seats, a 17% growth. New developments include:

  • New destination: Lages/Serra Catarinense (EEA).
  • New routes: Chapecó (XAP)–Florianópolis (FLN) and Foz do Iguaçu (IGU)–Fortaleza (FOR).
  • Increased frequencies from IGU to São Paulo and Rio.
  • More flights from Navegantes (NVT), Curitiba (CWB), Porto Alegre (POA), and Florianópolis (FLN) to major capital cities.

Southeast: Expansion on Key Corridors

With 53,000 flights and 10 million seats, the Southeast will grow by 13%.

  • Rio de Janeiro (GIG and SDU) and São Paulo (GRU and CGH) will have increased frequencies.
  • GOL leads the supply at RIOgaleão (GIG), consolidating it as a key hub in Brazil.
  • Vitória (VIX) will receive more flights to São Paulo and Rio.
  • Campinas (VCP) will have greater connectivity with Rio de Janeiro.

North: Growth and New Destinations

The Northern network will reach 3,900 flights and over 700,000 seats, with 10% growth.

  • New destination: Araguaína (AUX), in Tocantins.
  • New seasonal route: Palmas (PMW)–São Paulo/Guarulhos (GRU).
  • Reinforcement in existing markets: Belém (BEL)–Rio (GIG), Carajás (CKS)–Belo Horizonte/Confins (CNF), Porto Velho (PVH)–Brasília (BSB), Santarém (STM)–Manaus (MAO), and Macapá (MCP)–Belém (BEL).

Unprecedented International Offer

The airline will achieve the largest international season in its history: 4,700 flights and 900,000 seats, a 10% increase over 2024/2025.

  • Boosted routes to Argentina and Florida (USA).

New seasonal connections:

  • Rio de Janeiro–Mendoza (MDZ) and Rio–Asunción (ASU), starting in January.
  • São Paulo (GRU) and Buenos Aires (AEP)–Punta del Este (PDP) from December.

Increased frequency on the routes Manaus–Bogotá (BOG), Manaus–Miami (MIA), Belém–Miami (MIA), and Belém–Paramaribo (PBM).

All flights will be operated with Boeing 737 aircraft, configured for 176 passengers on international routes and up to 186 on domestic ones.

Mateus Pongeluppi, GOL’s Vice President of Commercial, stated that this expansion reflects the company’s commitment to boosting tourism, the regional economy, and offering meaningful experiences to customers.
