JetSMART has announced the launch of two new domestic routes that will strengthen its presence in Colombia. Starting in 2026, the airline will operate non-stop flights from Bogotá to Montería and Barranquilla, expanding connection options between the capital and the Colombian Caribbean region.
Details of the New Operations
The Bogotá–Barranquilla and Bogotá–Montería routes will collectively offer 21 weekly flights, with a total capacity of 3,906 seats per direction.
The Bogotá–Barranquilla route will provide 2,604 weekly seats per direction and will be available starting February 3, 2026.
The Bogotá–Montería route will operate with 1,302 weekly seats and will commence flights on March 3 of next year.
Tickets are already on sale with fares starting from $90,000, a price which includes taxes and fees, reinforcing JetSMART’s proposition as an accessible and efficient alternative for Colombian travelers.

Sustained Growth in the Colombian Market
With these additions, the airline reaches 19 domestic routes connecting 10 destinations within Colombia, in addition to 6 international routes. Among the latter is the recent launch of flights from Medellín and Cali to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, a move aimed at strengthening its presence in the region’s tourist segment.
Strategic Alliance with American Airlines
JetSMART maintains an alliance with American Airlines, which allows travelers to accumulate and redeem AAdvantage miles across the combined network of both companies. This cooperation enhances the customer experience and expands international connection possibilities, combining the efficiency of the low-cost model with the benefits of a global airline.
