A Strategic Commitment to the Brazilian Market
Gemma Juncá, Iberia’s Director of Brand and Marketing, emphasized that this initiative is part of a clear strategy to strengthen their presence in Brazil: “Iberia is making a strong and decisive commitment to Brazil, and that is why we wanted to enhance this effort by opening the doors of our Espacio Iberia in São Paulo, a concept that aims to bring the experience of flying with Iberia closer to the entire public in the country.”
The executive underlined that Brazil is not only one of the airline’s oldest markets in the region but also one of its fastest-growing, reinforcing Iberia’s interest in establishing itself as the preferred choice for travel to Europe and beyond.
A Cultural and Sports Agenda for All Tastes
In addition to the aeronautical experiences, Espacio Iberia will feature a diverse program including:
- Events with LALIGA, such as meetings with former footballers and live match broadcasts.
- Talks with renowned chefs, including Hugo Muñoz.
- Live radio and streaming broadcasts from the space itself.
- Concerts, comedy monologues, and shows representative of Spanish culture.
Unprecedented Route Expansion and Connectivity
The opening of Espacio Iberia coincides with a significant capacity increase in the Brazilian market:
- Two daily flights between Madrid and São Paulo.
- Between four and five weekly frequencies to Rio de Janeiro.
- New routes to Recife and Fortaleza, starting in December and January, respectively.
With these additions, Brazil becomes the only country in Iberia’s long-haul network with flights to four internal destinations, marking a milestone in connectivity between Brazil and Europe for the airline.
This deployment reaffirms Iberia’s commitment to the Brazilian market, offering not only more travel options but also a close, immersive, and culturally enriching brand experience.
