Despite not having formally resumed operations yet, American Airlines has decided to place a significant bet on the Venezuelan market by announcing a second daily frequency between Miami and Maiquetía International Airport, which serves Caracas.
Strategic Expansion Prior to Service Relaunch
The airline is scheduled to restart its flights to Venezuela on April 30, ending a service interruption that has lasted nearly seven years. Market response appears to have been robust enough for the company to initiate sales for a second daily frequency, which will begin operations on May 21.
This move underscores the importance of the Miami-Caracas route, historically one of the most relevant international connections between both countries.
Itinerary and Frequency Details
With the addition of the second flight, American Airlines will offer morning connectivity from Miami, providing greater flexibility for business and leisure travelers.

- Economy Class: 64 seats.
The increase in American Airlines’ offering before the inaugural re-entry flight departs demonstrates high confidence in the pent-up demand between Miami and Caracas.
