Etihad Airways Bolsters U.S. Network: Chicago Reaches Double-Daily Frequency and Charlotte Scales to Daily Service

Etihad Airways has announced a significant acceleration of its growth within the United States market. Starting June 15, 2026, the carrier will increase its capacity and connectivity by implementing double-daily flights to Chicago and transitioning to a daily service on its Charlotte route.

This strategic expansion aims to strengthen the airline’s North American footprint, facilitating passenger flow toward high-growth markets in India and the Asia-Pacific region, while enhancing access to the U.S. domestic network through its partner airlines.

Chicago: Consolidation with Double-Daily Frequency

Chicago O’Hare remains a fundamental pillar of Etihad’s U.S. network. The transition to a double-daily service will allow the airline to deepen connectivity and offer a wider range of single-stop travel options through its Abu Dhabi hub.

According to Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways, this move reflects the sustained performance of the route and responds to passenger demand for greater flexibility. The new schedule optimizes links to critical destinations in South Asia and the Far East, including:
