Colombia: Aerocivil investigates violation of biosecurity protocols on Avianca and Wingo flights.
The Civil Aeronautics announced the preliminary opening of investigations against Avianca and Wingo airlines for allegedly violating biosecurity protocols. This was informed by the entity in a brief communiqué.

The institution’s pronouncement comes hours after the alleged violation of the biosecurity protocol by the Avianca airline went viral on social networks. The airline offered a concert to travelers on the Medellín-Bogotá flight by musicians from the Medellín Philharmonic, and its publication on the airline’s social networks caused a stir and turned it into a trend, reported El Heraldo.

Likewise, the aeronautical entity opened an investigation against Wingo Airlines for a flight related to the Cancun-Bogotá route.
“Once Aerocivil collects the necessary evidence, it will determine the measures that correspond to this case,” the entity stated.
“The Civil Aeronautics calls on the companies and people who use air transport to strictly comply with the biosafety protocols,” added the entity.
