Avianca will resume direct flights between Lima and Bogota as of December 1, the airline announced in a press release.

The route will operate seven weekly frequencies on Airbus A320 aircraft with capacity for 150 passengers.

Avianca: To date we have not been involved in negotiations with Sky Airline.

“Peru is a destination that has historically had high levels of demand for its tourism and business value,” said David Aleman, general manager for Central and South America at Avianca.

“Today we are ready to connect Lima with the Avianca network, via Bogota, offering our travelers a simpler product for all and with the best service that has always characterized us,” said the executive.

The airline informed that it will announce at a later date the date for the resumption of operations of direct routes from Lima to San Salvador and Guayaquil.
