Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) said Tuesday that it will resume recruiting and training new pilots starting in 2023, after suspending them due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The airline will also rehire 80 first officers who have already completed their training with Lufthansa Aviation Training Switzerland (LAT).

“We are very pleased that, after a two-year hiring freeze, we are able to offer a new generation of pilots job and career prospects as well as an attractive workplace in the air, and can welcome more new colleagues to our cabin crew corps,” says Stefan-Kenan Scheib, Head of Flight Operations at SWISS.
The two-year training of the new SWISS pilots will be provided by the European Flight Academy (EFA), operated by LAT, and will take place at various locations, including Opfikon and Grenchen in Switzerland and Goodyear (Arizona) in the USA.
SWISS student pilots will receive financial support
Applicants must have completed at least three years of basic vocational training or have access to university-level education without examination. They are also eligible for grants to finance the related training costs. Candidates can apply now and more information can be found HERE.
