LATAM Brazil completes implementation of Wi-Fi service on A320 family aircraft

LATAM Airlines Brazil has just completed the implementation of Wi-Fi service on its aircraft operating domestic and some regional flights in South America. All 132 Airbus A320 family aircraft (A319, A320, A320neo, A321 and A321neo) now have the service so that passengers can stay connected during their flights.

Another new feature is that, as of Wednesday, the company is offering the messaging service free of charge to all passengers enrolled in its loyalty program, LATAM Pass. Black Signature, Black, Platinum, Gold Plus and Gold customers now have unlimited free access to the navigation service.

“The implementation of in-flight Wi-Fi involved a complex project, with significant investments in technology and the participation of various partners and areas of the company focused on offering a quality service that keeps our passengers connected during flights. Extending the service to LATAM Pass members is one more improvement for our most frequent customers, as well as an invitation for other passengers to join the best and most awarded loyalty program in Latin America for free,” said Paulo Miranda, LATAM Airlines Group Vice President of Customers.

LATAM launches wifi on flights within Chile

To access the service, you must register for LATAM Pass. When boarding, simply activate “Airplane Mode”, connect to the “LATAM Play” Wi-Fi network, scan the QR code you will find on the seat in front of you or go to www.play.latam.com, choose from the messaging or internet options and log in with your LATAM Pass account.

What is LATAM Pass elite category?

The Elite categories are the LATAM Pass program categories (LATAM Gold, Gold Plus, Platinum, Black and Black Signature). After registering for free in the program, the customer automatically enters the initial category. With each flight purchased in cash, you can accumulate qualification points that will move you up in category and give you more and more advantages. Categories are renewed every 12 months. Each category has exclusive benefits to enjoy when traveling, from the purchase or redemption of airline tickets to the in-flight experience.
