Delta announces new routes to Tulum and Mazatlán
This winter, Delta Air Lines will have more options to fly to Mexico, with new Detroit-Tulum and Los Angeles-Mazatlan routes.
Starting January 11, the airline will introduce flights from Detroit to Tulum.
With this new route, Delta will operate up to 50 weekly flights from Detroit to five destinations in Mexico this winter, including Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico City and Puerto Vallarta. Along with existing service from Atlanta and Minneapolis, the airline will offer 10 weekly flights from the U.S. to Tulum, with four flights on Saturdays.

Starting December 21, Delta will launch service to Mazatlan from Los Angeles, where the airline has increased capacity to Mexico by 13% this year.
These new routes will operate on Saturdays on Boeing 737-800 and Airbus 319 aircraft, offering First Class, Delta Comfort+ and Main Cabin options.
“Mexico is one of our most popular destinations among U.S. customers. That’s why we are adding new destinations in Mexico this year, giving our customers even more ways to experience the rich cultural heritage of Latin America,” said Joe Esposito, Delta’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning.
