Avianca starts flights on Medellin-Guayaquil and Bogota-Havana routes
Avianca launched this Monday the routes that will connect Medellin with Guayaquil and Bogota with Havana, offering its customers new alternatives in direct flights to and from Ecuador and the Caribbean.
The Medellín-Guayaquil route will have three weekly frequencies (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), and Bogotá-Havana will have one daily flight.

The flights will be operated on Airbus A320 aircraft with capacity for 180 passengers, representing 1,080 seats per week between Medellin and Guayaquil, and 2,500 seats per week on the Bogota-Havana route.
“We are very proud to be landing again in Havana with a daily flight and more than 2,500 seats a week so that thousands of travelers can connect to more destinations in the Caribbean and also put our network at their service to fly to dozens of cities in the world. We will also continue to better connect Medellín and Guayaquil, each with 10 destinations, thanks to the opening of new routes in 2024,” said David Alemán, Avianca’s Sales Director for Colombia and South America.
