LATAM Consolidates Rosario–São Paulo Route: Daily Service Starting in September
Just over a month after its inauguration, the air connection between Rosario and São Paulo is showing a level of growth rarely seen for a new international service in the Argentine interior. LATAM Airlines Brazil has confirmed a progressive expansion of frequencies that will culminate in a daily operation starting in September, establishing Guarulhos Airport as the primary international gateway for the country’s central region.
From Four Weekly Flights to Daily Operations in Under a Year
The route was inaugurated on December 30 and currently operates with four weekly frequencies. This initial schedule successfully supported commercial and tourist exchange during the summer season. According to reports, the growth will be phased as follows:
- July: Increase to six weekly frequencies, operating every day except Thursdays.
- September: Daily frequency, reaching the maximum operational level planned for this market in the short term.
From a network planning perspective, the schedule reveals a clear strategy: initial demand testing, reinforcement during the winter peak season, and definitive consolidation toward the second half of the year, when corporate traffic and connections typically gain more weight.

Guarulhos: The Route’s True Added Value
Beyond point-to-point travel, the primary asset of the Rosario–São Paulo service is its integration into the Guarulhos hub, one of the most significant in Latin America. From there, passengers gain access to:
- Domestic Connectivity in Brazil: Access to over 50 internal destinations, facilitating direct travel to major tourist and economic hubs such as Rio de Janeiro, Salvador de Bahia, Recife, and Florianópolis, among others.
- International Connectivity: Access to more than 20 international destinations, including key long-haul markets such as Madrid, Miami, New York, Rome, Amsterdam, and Brussels, substantially expanding the global reach of Rosario’s airport.
Florencia Scardaccione, Commercial Manager for LATAM in Argentina, highlighted that the rapid growth of the route addresses a concrete need for federal connectivity. She emphasized that Rosario now possesses a “direct window” to the Caribbean, the United States, Europe, and South Africa via the São Paulo hub.
