Farnborough Airshow: BermudAir Becomes New A220 Customer as flynas Orders More Airbus Jets
At the Farnborough Airshow, Bermuda’s flag carrier formalized its first A220 aircraft order, while the Saudi low-cost carrier increased its firm commitments with the European manufacturer after ordering additional A330neo and A321neo aircraft.
BermudAir Enters the A220 Era: A Historic Milestone for Bermuda
BermudAir, Bermuda’s flag carrier, has signed its first order with European manufacturer Airbus for 10 A220-300 aircraft, becoming a new customer for the Airbus A220 program and opening a strategic new operating region for the type.
The order had been listed in Airbus’s backlog since March under an undisclosed customer. The arrival of the A220-300 will allow BermudAir to unlock direct point-to-point routes and connect destinations across the Atlantic and the Caribbean with high operational flexibility.

flynas Bolsters Its Long- and Medium-Haul Fleet with 25 Additional Aircraft
In parallel, flynas, Saudi Arabia’s low-cost carrier, agreed to acquire five additional A330-900 and 20 additional A321neo aircraft.
The deal strengthens the strategic partnership between both companies and supports the Saudi carrier’s expansion plans across domestic, regional, and long-haul markets, aligned with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s aviation development goals.

- A321neo Growth: The cumulative backlog for the A321neo model reaches 56 units.

BermudAir’s addition to the A220 customer portfolio demonstrates the aircraft’s versatility in connecting high-demand island and Atlantic regions. Meanwhile, the continuous expansion of flynas’s all-Airbus fleet reaffirms the robust growth of air traffic in the Middle East and the decisive role of low-cost carriers in international commercial aviation.
