LATAM Airlines Announces Nonstop Flights Between Santiago de Chile and Caracas Starting in January

LATAM Airlines announced on Tuesday the launch of a nonstop route between Santiago (Chile) and Caracas (Venezuela), scheduled to begin on January 3, 2027. The service will operate four weekly frequencies, aimed at boosting bilateral connectivity between the two South American markets.

Fleet, Cabin Configuration, and Schedules

The service will be operated using Airbus A320neo aircraft, configured with a total capacity of 174 seats across two cabins:

  • Premium Economy: 12 seats.
  • Economy: 162 seats.

Scheduled Itinerary (Local Times)

  • Flight LA644: Departs Santiago at 14:30 | Arrives in Caracas at 20:10.
    Frequencies: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
  • Flight LA645: Departs Caracas at 22:30 | Arrives in Santiago at 06:00 (next day).
    Frequencies: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Commenting on the announcement, Juan Jose Toha, Director of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at LATAM Airlines Group, stated:

“We are strengthening Venezuela’s connectivity with our primary hubs across South America. In addition to our existing service linking Caracas with Bogota, this direct route to Santiago expands travel options for our passengers and reinforces Venezuela’s integration into the broader LATAM network.”

This new service complements the airline’s existing operations to Venezuela, operating alongside the daily Bogota–Caracas route flown by LATAM Airlines Colombia. Globally, LATAM Airlines Group serves a network of 164 destinations across 27 countries on four continents: the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Oceania.

Ticketing and Sales

LATAM Airlines Group stated that tickets for this new nonstop route will become available for purchase in the coming days through all direct airline sales channels and partner travel agencies.
