The development of the new Superjet is carried out by United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) according to the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation given on January 25, 2018 and aims to replace imports of foreign components – on-board systems and accessories – with Russian-made products.

After the completion of the development work on the aircraft, flight tests will begin.
