Aerolíneas Argentinas confirmed that during the weekend it exceeded the first million passengers so far this year. This figure is accompanied by other indicators such as 85% occupancy and punctuality.

The 10 most popular destinations were Bariloche, Córdoba, El Calafate, Ushuaia, Mendoza, Salta, Iguazú, Tucumán, Mar del Plata and Neuquén. In the regional and international flight network, the most popular destinations were Sao Paulo, Miami, Rio de Janeiro, Punta del Este, Santiago de Chile and Madrid.

Aerolíneas Argentinas will add two more Airbus A330s its fleet.

On average, more than 27,000 passengers were transported per day in 220 departures with peaks of almost 30,000 passengers during fortnight changes. Last week, the number of passengers transported, in domestic, reached 95% of pre-pandemic levels and yesterday, Sunday, had the maximum record of passengers with 30,384.

“These are numbers that give us the guideline of a sustained recovery and that allow us to think that the supply of flights for the domestic network will exceed the pre-pandemic levels in 2022”, explained Pablo Ceriani, head of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

Aerolineas Argentinas will resume its daily flights to Madrid.

It is worth mentioning that half of the passengers transported were transported from the interior of the country and that almost 20 percent were transported on federal intertramos without passing through Buenos Aires. At present, the company has 32 intertram routes and has already confirmed that it will reach 37 by mid-year.

In the same line, last week the company announced that it will fly from April, 4 weekly frequencies between Cordoba and Posadas, another 4 between Cordoba and Comodoro Rivadavia. In addition, it will maintain its operation to Mar del Plata from Córdoba and Mendoza with 2 weekly flights from each destination.
