In July, Iberia will add its first 20 post-pandemic pilots to its workforce to meet the increase in capacity that the airline has scheduled for the peak summer months. A further 20 are scheduled to join from October, all of them coming from the Flight Training Europe school in Jerez.
“The addition of new pilots to Iberia is very good news, the best sign that we are flying towards recovery. In addition, our collaboration with the FTEJerez through the Iberia Cadets program guarantees that we have the best professionals with the best skills for the future of Iberia”, Rafael Jiménez-Hoyos, Iberia’s Production Director.
In addition, Iberia has reopened the call to enroll in Iberia Cadetes, its program for training and training of new pilots with financing, which the company launched in 2019 in order to have the best qualified professionals in the sector.

Iberia Cadetes is a program to also promote the profession of pilot among young people, helping them in the financing of their training in very advantageous conditions and that they can develop their vocation.
Once they have completed their studies, the airline’s commitment is to facilitate the incorporation of these cadets into the labor market through the Iberia Group airlines so that they can also begin to repay Iberia’s contribution to their studies.
FTEJerez was the first school to participate in the Iberia Cadets program. The two companies jointly select the candidates to join a training program that will allow them to obtain the ATPL air transport license, which has been financed at 50% and without interest by Iberia. The airline also participates in the training of these students, evaluating their progress and performance.
Those interested can find out about the entry requirements and apply for the Iberia Cadets program until July 3 at www.ftejerez.com/iberia.
