Copa Airlines Resumes Flights to Valencia and Barquisimeto in Venezuela

The Panamanian flag carrier, Copa Airlines, is set to resume its aerial connectivity with the Venezuelan cities of Valencia and Barquisimeto during the months of April and May. This operational expansion integrates both destinations into the company’s current network, which already includes scheduled flights to Caracas and Maracaibo.

Connecting with Valencia

The route to Valencia is scheduled to restart operations on April 4. The airline has allocated a capacity of five weekly frequencies, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

For this service, Copa Airlines will deploy Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The established flight schedule is as follows:

  • Panama – Valencia: Departure at 11:43 am; Arrival at 02:53 pm.
  • Valencia – Panama: Departure at 04:03 pm; Arrival at 05:21 pm.

Barquisimeto Joins the Network in May

The route to Barquisimeto will begin operations on May 4. Unlike the Valencia service, this destination will initially feature three weekly frequencies, scheduled for Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Operations to the capital of the state of Lara will be conducted using Boeing 737-700 aircraft. The schedules are:

  • Panama – Barquisimeto: Departure at 09:25 am; Arrival at 12:28 pm.
  • Return Route to Panama: Departure at 01:38 pm; Arrival at 02:38 pm.

Availability and Commercialization

With the addition of Valencia and Barquisimeto, the airline strengthens its presence in the Venezuelan market, facilitating connectivity between the country’s interior regions and its Hub of the Americas in Panama. Tickets for these routes are already available for purchase through the airline’s official website.
