Iberia and Disney Destinations have formalized a three-year extension of their partnership agreement, cementing the Spanish flag carrier’s status as the preferred airline for travelers from Spain heading to these theme park resorts and cruise lines. This renewal reinforces a relationship established in 2017, designed to streamline the family travel experience from boarding through arrival at the parks and resorts.

Nine Years of Institutional Cooperation

The signing ceremony took place at Espacio Iberia, attended by María Jesús López Solás, Iberia’s Chief Commercial, Network, and Alliances Officer, and Tiago Santos, General Manager of Disney Destinations for Spain and Portugal.

The alliance comprehensively encompasses the entertainment company’s flagship travel products: Disneyland Paris, Walt Disney World Resort (located in Orlando, Florida), and the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

Highlighting the milestone, María Jesús López Solás stated: “For Iberia, it is a tremendous pleasure to renew our collaboration with Disney Destinations for another three years. We share the common goal of ensuring our customers begin experiencing the magic from the very moment they leave home. Whether traveling to Disneyland Paris, Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, or setting sail on a Disney Cruise, we want the journey to feel special from the outset and become an integral part of the memory.”

Meanwhile, Tiago Santos underscored the significance of the partnership following nearly a decade of joint operations:

“After nine years of collaboration, we are especially thrilled to renew our relationship with Iberia and continue building a shared history that has brought thousands of Spanish families closer to the magic of Disney Destinations. This partnership represents far more than just a means of travel—it means stepping into the Disney experience the moment a family boards an Iberia aircraft, accompanying them on their journey to destinations where dreams come true. We are confident that this new chapter will allow us to keep creating unforgettable moments, bringing Disney magic to Spanish families from the initial leg of their trip until they return home.”

Transatlantic Link: The Nonstop Madrid–Orlando Route

A core pillar of the cooperation framework between both brands is the consolidation of the carrier’s long-haul network to the United States, serving as a critical feeder for passenger traffic heading to Walt Disney World Resort:

  • Exclusive Scheduled Route: Nonstop service connecting Madrid-Barajas Airport and Orlando, inaugurated in October 2025 as the only direct, nonstop link between Spain and the Florida destination.
  • Weekly Frequencies: Four flights per week.
  • Aircraft: The route is deployed with Airbus A330 widebody aircraft, configured with a three-class cabin layout seating 292 passengers across Business, Premium Economy, and Economy.

The Orlando complex brings together four major theme parks—Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom—alongside water parks, themed resort hotels, entertainment venues, dining options, and retail districts.

Aerial Branding: The Disney Adventure World Airbus A320neo

The collaboration between both entities also extends directly to Iberia’s short- and medium-haul fleet. The airline operates an Airbus A320neo featuring a specialized Disney Adventure World livery, showcasing characters Olaf (from World of Frozen) and Buzz Lightyear (from Worlds of Pixar).

This airframe marks the second themed aircraft rolled out under the ongoing partnership between Iberia and Disneyland Paris.

Through this extended agreement, Iberia and Disney Destinations ensure the continuity of their joint commercial and service strategies, streamlining travel for Spanish passengers bound for European resorts, cruise itineraries, and the Florida market via their nonstop transatlantic service.
