Aerolineas Argentinas announced this Thursday a ban on the transport of “hunting trophies” on both domestic and international flights.

The initiative aims to protect the lives of wild animals living in the country and is in line with international conservation standards such as the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).

“These types of policies are important, they mean progress and aim to move towards a more conscious world in the care of fauna and flora,” explained Pablo Ceriani, president of Aerolineas Argentinas.

In this way, Aerolíneas Argentinas joins 40 other airlines in the world that prohibit the transport of “hunting trophies” on their flights.
