Boeing and Cabo Verde Airlines celebrated Thursday the delivery of the airline’s first 737 MAX aircraft with a special event at its home base.
As part of its new image, the airline’s 737-8 will reconnect the Cape Verdean diaspora and boost tourism to the country from Africa, Europe, North America and South America.

“This is a significant moment for Cabo Verde Airlines. With the addition of the Boeing 737-8, we continue to expand our fleet to pre-pandemic levels,” said Sara Pires, CEO and president of Cabo Verde Airlines.
Cabo Verde Airlines connects four continents with non-stop flights from its bases in Praia and Sal. The airline aims to renew its fleet and expand its network to routes previously operated after the pandemic.
