Aeromexico and Delta Air Lines announced on Monday the launch of three new nonstop routes connecting Mexico City International Airport with Orange County, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, and Portland, Oregon. Operations are scheduled to begin in January 2027 under their Joint Cooperation Agreement (JCA), cementing a network of 27 US destinations from the Mexican capital and positioning Mexico’s flag carrier as the sole operator offering nonstop service across these city pairs.
Cross-Border Expansion and Boeing 737 MAX Deployment
All flights will be operated by Aeromexico on a daily, year-round basis. The carrier will deploy Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft on these routes, featuring seatback inflight entertainment (IFE) screens throughout the cabin.
The aircraft are configured in a 166-seat layout:
- 16 seats in Clase Premier (Business Class).
- 18 seats in AM Plus (Premium Economy).
- 132 seats in Main Cabin (Economy).
